Good morning ladies & gentlemen, for your lazy Sunday this week I have something pretty special for you. While I know it is breaking the tradition of a relaxing Sunday a little and may not exactly be lazy but it is for a great cause so get yourself down to Aberfeldie Park, Maribyrnong at 9am this morning for our Movember fundraising group training session and get a great workout, have some fun and show your support for this great cause with all funds going to the help support the great work the Movember Foundation does.
You will also be able to see just how terrible the Revolution teams moustaches are looking.

Well it looks as though Summer is starting to warm up with some high temperatures expected in Melbourne through out the next few days. What better way to enjoy the sunshine than to get outside and get stuck into man up monday workout.
For todays session we will be doing some shuttle runs. So get on down to one of Melbourne’s sunny parks and set up some cones or objects 10m apart for 50m.
The workout will be a shuttle run (start to 10m cone, back to start, up to 20m cone, back to start etc) completed as fast as possible.
Once you have completed the shuttle up to the 50m cone have a 60 second rest.
Repeat this until you have done 9 sets of the shuttle. After every 3rd set take an extra minute break if you feel as though you need it.
Good luck and remember to slip, slop, slap in the sun.
Good Morning hope you are enjoying your weekend and with mother nature turning on some brilliant weather on Sunday it seems appropriate to spend the day outdoors enjoying the sunshine.
With summer just around the corner it is the perfect time to get some surfing practice in before the beaches get to crowded. Head on down to your local surf beach and if you haven’t got a surf board and wetsuit of your own, there is sure to be a surf hire shop close by and you can usually hire a board and wetsuit for about $30 for a few hours.
But be warned paddling out into the surf can be more tiring than you think. But on the plus side its a great way to burn off some extra calories!

Well folks we have flown past the halfway mark of Movember and if you look really closely you can almost see some hair on our upper lips.

Good morning, hope you had a great relaxing weekend. But now it is time to get stuck into yet another week and another big workout session. For today’s man up Monday workout we are going to implement the principles of Tabata training. Tabata training was developed as part of a study by Japanese researchers and was found to have great effect on improving aerobic and anaerobic endurance.
The Tabata training method is an form of interval training that consists of 20 seconds of high intensity work followed by 10 seconds rest and repeated for 8 sets.
For our training session today implement the Tabata method for the following exercises.
Horizontal Pull up
Remember all of these exercises should be performed at a high intensity for 8 sets of 20 seconds with a 10 second rest.

Good Morning, once again it looks as though the Melbourne weather today is going to be pretty miserable, but there is no need to let that stop you from making the most of your Sunday. On a gloomy day like today nothing says Melbourne like a stroll through the seemingly endless arcades & lane ways on offer throughout the great city of Melbourne.
Why not start your day out with a healthy breakfast (or lunch depending on what time you decide to get up) at one the cafe’s or restaurants in one of the iconic Melbourne lane ways such as Degraves St, Block Place or Centre Place, my personal favourite is Cafe Andiamo on Degraves St for a great breakfast and my morning caffeine hit . Remember if you grab yourself a coffee while you are there it will also help increase your metabolism for the day giving you some added energy and helping to burn a few extra calories.
While your out be sure to have a meander through some of the great lane way shopping Melbourne has to offer, from vintage to modern clothes, gym wear to bedroom wear. you are sure to find it all in the great lane way shops in Melbourne. All you have to do is walk around and have a look for it.
