Gymnastics Fundamentals Course for Adults

This will be a technique orientated course at our South Melbourne location, focusing on mobility, core strength and stability to achieve the handstand and muscle up with ease.

Gymnastics helps you create fluidity and power which is directly transferable to performance in all other areas of training and sport... and you have to admit a gymnast's body looks pretty impressive too.

The strength and stability needed for these two movements requires an understanding of your body, to know how it moves, to feel where it is in space. Getting to know your body and how it functions in this capacity will have you reap many benefits towards your athletic abilities.

Your coach, RevoPT's very own Larissa Watt, will be picky on your technique, and prescribe mobility and activation exercise specific to your body to have you progressing in these movements as fast as possible.

Pull off a handstand and it won't stop there, progress to the handstand walk and handstand push up. There are many progressions from these to fundamental movements.

This course will begin on Wednesday the 7th of October with a double length session to adequately assess and individualise flexibility & mobility programs for each individual. You will then be taught tumbling and safe dismount techniques from the handstand for the workout element of this session.

Your individualised flexibility and mobility exercises programmed in this first session will form the basis of your warm ups and progression for the remainder of this course.

This course will then continue on a Monday and Wednesday evening at 6:45pm for the following 7 weeks.

The cost of this course isĀ  per person and is restricted to only 8 people. 3 of these spaces have already be reserved so if you're keen to head along please let us know as soon as possible.

Training Hours

Training session times are able to be booked between 5:30am and 9pm Monday to Friday and between 6am and 12pm Saturday.
