The BEST gym in Melbourne! I have been going to Revo for well over a year and the difference in my fitness, in particular my strength, is quite amazing. Darren is a superstar trainer - ALWAYS challenging me and providing me with varied sessions that were tailored to my goals. The group training classes are also really fun - the trainers are super friendly and motivational and really get to know the attendees so they can provide tips and recommendations as to how you can get the most out of the classes. Luke and the team are just fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone!
Revolution Gym would have to be the best gym I have attended. I needed to get my fitness back, feel healthy and good about myself. When I first approached the team, they were super helpful and supportive, not pushy or intrusive. Luke and the team are very warm, friendly and amazing trainers. I was disappointed with the service I received from Luke. I signed up to have programs made for me to do in my backyard during quarantine because I have a good amount of training equipment. He said he prefers to do a 6-week block so I paid for 6 weeks of programs. I was given the same program for the first 4 weeks and when I asked why they were the same he said he was doing a 4-week block. That was not what I agreed to. I also told him from the start that I had not trained in a year but the sessions were way too much workload e.g. the first exercise of the first session started with 5 sets of 15 one-legged squats per leg so 75 one-legged squats per leg, plus the rest of the exercises for that session that were very leg heavy. I pointed this out to him and he slightly adjusted the reps but still had me doing way too much leg exercises. After the first session he told me "you probably won't be able to do the next 2 days of sessions so rest up". If he knew the first day would ruin me for the week then why make them so intense? At the end of the 6 weeks I pointed out to him that I didn't like doing the sessions he made, and that I asked for 6 weeks of sessions and only received 2 different weeks worth, and he gave me a non-committal reply and I haven't heard back from him. From the start it seemed like he was just phoning it in until my 6 weeks were up.
I was only at RevoPT for about a month but within the first week I felt at home, all trainers and trainees are so welcoming and nice. The culture is so positive and motivational. All trainers have so much knowledge who find ways to get you to levels you didn’t even know you could get too. I’ll definitely be back!!
